Sara had fun showing her horse Goldie and they did well together getting one 1st, three 3rd, and two 8th places. Amy got to ride her boy Victor as well and loved every minute of it as usual :) They had a good day getting two 1st, three 2nd, and one 3rd. They also took a champion and a reserve champion in their division. A special thanks to Allie and Tarinda for being our fabulous grooms. You both were a huge help.

May 29, 2010 - Wheeler Green Pony Club Spring Event

It was so much fun to take a group of students to event this year!!! Everyone has been working really hard to get ready for the start of our eventing season. Sara rode her pony Cowboy in the BN division. They had a good dressage test and went clean both xc and stadium. And they came in 3rd in their division… Congratulations!!!! Nessa rode Casper in the Beginner Novice division as well. They did a great job and came in 5th. Congratulations ladies, I am so proud of you both!!!!! Amy rode 3 horses all in the intro division. They all were good rides but all very different horses… J Victor did a great job in Dressage and Stadium but still had issues with xc. Oh well… Foxy put in a good first dressage test and went clean xc and stadium. She was such a good girl for being in her first event and she came in 3rd. Del was awesome. She had a very good dressage test and was very brave in xc and stadium and went clean in both. She was superb in her first event and she came in 2nd place. It was a fun day with everyone and congratulations to Sara and Nessa for a great first event!!! Also a huge thank you to Allie who was the most amazing groom… without your help I could never have managed riding 3 horses in the same division. So thanks again!!!!!

June 5, 2010 - High Standard Stables Trail Trial Results

Our first trail trial held at High Standard Stables. We had a nice turnout and the group of riders were so friendly it was very enjoyable to put on this show. I look forward to seeing more riders at our next trail trial. We had some fun obstacles, one of the favorite ones was the flamingos that were hanging around :) See you all at the next one.

June 6, 2010 - GVRDC H.T.

We had a great time as a team regardless of the wonderful down pouring cold rain all day. Sara rode Cowboy in the BN junior division. She put in a great job in dressage test and stadium. Cross country was fun but unfortunately Cowboy wasn't too sure about the water and they were eliminated. But they still had lots of fun and tons of great learning experiences. Nessa rode Casper in the BN Junior division as well and they put in a solid dressage test to be in 2nd after dressage. Then they went clean stadium and xc to win 1st in the division. Congratulations Nessa and Casper on winning first in your first recognized event!!! Amy rode Foxy in the BN horse division, Foxy put in a good dressage test and went clean stadium and xc to move up to 6th place. Amy also rode Del and she did a great job and went clean xc to take 7th in the BN horse division. It was a nice size division with some good competition so I was really pleased with both of their places. Alice rode Honey and they took 12th place in the intro division. Great job Alice and Honey. They went clean stadium and cross country and had tons of fun together. Nessa, Sara, and Alice I am so proud of you all, you all did such a great job at your first recognized event…Congratulations!!!!!!

June 19, 2010 - Lost Hounds H.T. in PA

Nessa and Sara both moved up to novice for this horse trial. We were all really excited to compete out of state and Lost Hounds is such a fun, well organized event. All three of us put in not the best dressage test…it just seemed to be one of those days :) But thankfully we all had fun jumping which made up for the first phase. Nessa only had one rail in stadium and went clean xc for her and Casper's first competition at Novice. Congratulations to both Nessa on Casper on their 7th place finish!! Sara and Cowboy put in a clear round stadium but unfortunately the second water complex got the best of them. They did have a great run up until that point. Amy rode Foxy in BN again and she was a great girl as usual. Dressage was poor which all horses are allowed to have an off day in dressage once in a while. Thankfully she was perfect for both stadium and xc. Both where double clear rounds…go Foxy!!! She came in 9th place in some tough competition so I was still really pleased!!! Great job to both Nessa and Sara on some fun memories, and lots of learning/growing experiences for us all.

June 20, 2010 - St. Jude Children's Hospital Benefit Show

Sara took Goldie and went with Amy who rode Victor. It was a very relaxed show after getting back from PA the day before. Sara had almost a completely perfect day with her horse in all classes she did both jumping and flat… they put in some lovely rounds over fences and had obedient and relaxed flat classes. Altogether she took five 1st places, one 2nd, & one 3rd place. She also took 2 champions from the Open over fence division & the Junior Flat Division.….CONGRATULATIONS Sara and Goldie on a fabulous day!!!!! Amy rode Victor and had a blast but did not put in nearly as good of rounds over fences as Sara. Thankfully Victor settled in by the flat classes and had a much better rest of the day. Together Amy and Victor took home three 1st places, one 2nd, two 3rd, and two 6th places. They also got Champion of the Open Flat Division. Fun day for both of us and it was really enjoyable showing with Sara!!!!!

Nessa Mark rode Casper in the Novice rider division and did a great job to bring home 8th place. Congratulations!!! Alice Smith rode Zara Gold in her first recognized horse trial and came in 4th place in the BN rider division. Sara put in a good dressage test with Cowboy and a clean round in Stadium but was eliminated on xc. Amy rode Foxy in the BN horse division, Foxy was wonderful as usual and went clean xc and came in 8th place. It was a great 2 days for an event and we all had fun!!!

July 15 - 16, 2010 - Stuart Horse Trials

Sara rode Foxy Lady in the Novice Rider Division at Stuarts. She did a fabulous job putting in a solid dressage test, and went clean on a demanding but fun cross country course and went clear Stadium as well. She moved up from 27 after dressage to 19 place after cross country and ended up finishing in 11th place out of 34 riders. We are all so proud of you and Foxy and both of your first times at Stuarts.

Sara riding Claddagh's Foxy Lady(a High Standard Stables Lesson Horse)

Nessa also rode Casper at Stuarts and put in a great dressage test but unfortunately a spectator on cross country walked out in front of them and spooked Casper making him slip and fall. They were having a fabulous round up until then. Thankfully both of them were okay after the fall.

July 23, 2010 - Hemlock Fair Open Show

Sara rode Goldie in two divisions and put in some nice rounds in the pouring rain to take a champion and a reserve champion. Emily rode Sasha in her first away show in awhile and did a fabulous job taking champion. Amy rode Victor and had a good round but then pulled a rail in the second course which cost them the championship. Oh' well you win some and lose some…all apart of showing. It was still a fun show with the girls.

August 5-8, 2010 - Chemung County Fair Horse Show

High Standard Stables packed up and headed off to the four day show. The show team tested their skills to ride in 4 different disciplines throughout. Thursday was Jumper Day and everyone did awesome. The best memory was the pick your own line… we all thought up our own course and shared them with each other to come up with which one we think would be the best. Sara picked the best one so we decided to ride it…. I thought it would be funny if we came in 1-4th place with our four riders… but out of 20+ riders odds weren't great. Wouldn't you know that Sara & Goldie got 1st, Alice & Honey got 2nd, Amy & Foxy got 3rd, and Emily & Sasha got 4th. J What an awesome class…. All thanks to Sara for coming up with an amazing course!!! Sara also won the Power & Speed 2'6" class and Amy & Victor won the Power & Speed 2'3" class. Emily and Alice both placed in all their jumper classes. Nice job ladies. Allie rode Zoey in the H/J ring and did a fabulous job with their first 18" division.

Friday was Hunter Jumper day, everyone did fabulous again. Emily took championships in both of the divisions she did with Sasha. They put in amazing courses and pulled in firsts in almost every class… nice job Emily & Sasha!!!! Allie and Zoey put in a super relaxed and confident course and took the champion for their division as well. Sara and Goldie did a great job in their divisions taking Reserve in the Children's Hunter Division. She also placed first in her Equitation over fence class. Alice did a great jog with Honey putting in some calm steady courses and she placed in every class with Honey. Nice job all of you ladies. Amy rode Victor and had some fun with her man J and also took Reserve in the division. Amy also rode Foxy for fun and although slightly quick both the courses were nice and tidy and they placed 6th in both. I am so proud of you all for doing so great, there was a lot of tough competition and large classes and you all stayed calm and rode beautifully.

Saturday was the long Open English day… tiring but everyone hung in there J Alice rode Honey and had fun with her as always. Emily & Sasha also stuck with the day and put in a great hunter hack class!!! Allie and Zoey put in beautiful classes and placed in several. Sara and Goldie won their equitation class and placed well in the others and she and Goldie ended up taking Reserve for the Youth 14-18 division. Amy rode Victor and placed in all put one class, and they took the Reserve for the Adult division.

Sunday was western and dressage day… Emily was the one who did the western. She did great and took 3rd in several classes. Allie did 2 training level dressage tests placing 1st in both and took the championship for the junior training level division. Congratulations!!! Amy rode Foxy in the Intro tests and took 1st and 2nd and took the championship for the Intro Adult Division. Amy also rode Victor and a first level test and he did well for his first time at that level and they took 2nd out of a large class. Amy also rode Victor in a second level dressage test… wasn't as good as the warm up but we got through J and somehow he still took 3rd :)

Congratulations ladies on all your success, great attitudes, and for making it through a long 4 days of competing :)

It was a beautiful day for a horse show. Allie rode Zoey in the cross rail division and did an amazing job placing very well in all her classes and she took the Champion for the division. Emily rode Sasha in the 2'3" division and after a rough start she ended well with a very nice course. Sara rode Goldie in the 2'3" division and put in lovely courses and flat classes. She took the championship for that division and she took the reserve in the 2'6" division. Great job ladies!!! Amy rode Victor in a couple divisions and Victor woke up for the 2'9" division where they won almost all their classes and took the Championship. Amy & Sara also competed together in the pairs o/f classes and the under saddle and they had tons of fun and looked well together placing first in both of the pairs classes. It was a fun relaxing show, nice job again ladies.

August 28 - Clarkson Open Show

Sara rode Goldie in both hunter divisions and the flat class division. They did amazing as usual putting in gorgeous courses and classes and they won all but 2 of their classes. They also pulled in 3 championships from the 3 different divisions. Amy rode Victor and had a blast with him as always. He put in some nice courses and great flat classes. They took reserve in both of their divisions. Really fun and relaxing show day with the horses :)
